ZOOM, Vienna's children's museum commissioned me to animate for their exhibition "WITH OR WITHOUT WORDS."
Nine animated characters became the actors for the interactive installation "Onomatopoesie." The project allowed children to explore a diverse range of onomatopoeic sounds, including animals and everyday noises, in various languages. In case of animal sounds, additional examples of real-life recordings were added.
After the curators made the huge mistake of not including a member of the felidae family in the examples of animal sounds, a cat was used as the protagonist for the examples of everyday sounds. A couple of those clips have been extended into (very) short movies in collaboration with sound artist, Lucca Teissig.
